Equipment

  • Hand Mixer

Ingredients

Dough

  • 4 Eggs
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Backing Powder

Crumble Topping

  • 400 g Flour
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 250 g Butter approx.

Topping

  • 250 ml Cream

Instructions

  • Mix all of the ingredients for the dough together and beat until creamy. This should be for several minutes on the highest setting.
  • Mix and kneed all Crumble Topping ingredients by hand until it looks like Crumble. It is possible that you might need some more butter.
  • Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and top with Crumble.
  • Bake in the oven, preheated to 175 degrees, until the crumble is lightly brown.
  • Take the cake out of the oven and immediately pour 250ml of cold, liquid cream over the cake while it is still hot.
  • Sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving.
